Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Like many of you, my family and I have called North Dallas home for more than 30 years. Because of our vibrant neighborhoods and strong sense of community, our part of Texas is one of the best places to raise a family, own a home, and build a successful career. Our representative in Austin is critical to shaping the quality of our daily lives and the future of our community.

In 2009, it was my pleasure to serve as a representative in the Texas State Legislature. I know that our community deserves a strong voice for the issues that matter most to us. I stand for:

• Creating jobs, attracting businesses, and growing our local economy
• Strengthening public and higher education
• Developing the necessary infrastructure to foster North Texas growth
• Protecting and sustaining North Texas air quality and water resources
• Lowering utility rates through promoting energy efficiency and developing new energy resources

There is no doubt that our state is facing difficult times, however I am committed to fighting for hard-working Texans and their families. By working together, we can tackle our toughest problems, overcome the challenges ahead, and make Texas a better place.
